We would like to welcome Gaynor and Fiona to the team of support workers, both individuals started today and we wish them an enjoyable time with us.
Both Gaynor and Fiona are undertaking a detailed induction week to ensure a positive introduction into The Willows, part of their induction has included a tour of the building from a Service user so as to ensure that they can describe their home and the wishes and aspirations they have.

Filming
Alexander Duncan spent yesterday filming for the new Statement of Purpose and Service User guides, this will enable us to give out information regarding our service, in numerous formats.
All the Service Users and staff really enjoyed the day and are looking forward to the first viewing!
This clip shows Alexander filming some one to one work being undertaken between a Service Users and support staff.

Willows garden plan goes ahead!

The long awaited refurbishment of the garden at The Willows has moved a step closer to reality. Well-respected garden designer Jane Edmonds
has drawn up a plan for the garden, which she presented recently to the residents and staff.
The plan allows for sensory areas - including a water feature - a small vegetable garden, sitting areas, a games area, and several paths to make the most of what has up to now been one of the home's most underused assets.
The photo shows Jane discussing the plan with residents in The Willows. She lives at Pen Selwood, not far from Warminster, but works all over the country on huge gardens for mini-stately homes, so we were lucky she was able to help us.
Watch this space - work begins next week!

The Willows - Warminster

This is a photo of our home in Warminster - The Willows
Conveniently situated close to the centre of the former market town of Warminster. The Willows is ideally located for Service Users who wish to become involved with the local community. Shops, restaurants, clubs and associations, a sports centre, and a swimming pool are all within close proximity of the Home. Further afield but still accessible attractions include Longleat, the historic town of Bath, and the Wylye Valley, providing excellent venues for the many outings that are organised by the Home.
Blog is alive and well
