Saturday life

Well another busy weekend here at The Willows!
Keith has walked into town this morning to buy some new slippers which Sue brought for his birthday and also some new records and videos. Christine has been to town and had a wander round.
Grazina has cleaned the car after her shopping trip to town.
John has been supported to clean his bedroom.
Sue has gone for a walk in the fresh air around shearwater.
Ian has been helping in the kitchen to make a homemade pasta salad for lunch which was enjoyed by all. Thankyou Ian.
Colin went to Swindon to have a look at a new car that The Willows is looking to purchase, which he found very easy to get in and out of.
Sheriff and Jamie have gone off out to Trowbridge with Jamie's mum to do some shopping and grab a big mac.
So all in all a busy saturday it has been.
I wonder what sunday will bring?

Snowman

Staff and service users are enjoying the current cold snap, with snowmen popping up all over the place!

As you can see the artistic flair is running high.

I am sure more pictures will published soon.

Snow

2010 has certainly started on a cold note, with widespread snow and ice covering the counyt.

Whilst it does cause difficulties with travel etc the views make up for the inconvenience, as you can see from this picture our new garden looks amazing whatever the weather.

Red Belt

Everyone at The Willows would like to congratulate Sheriff on achieving his red belt at kickboxing.
Sheriff has remained focused on his kickboxing since he started training some time ago now and his commitment has paid off.
Well done!

A sad farewell

Today is the last day for Karen working for Exalon Care Homes and she came back to where she started here at The Willows.
There have been tears and sadness but also very fond memories for Karen, staff and all service users.
We truly wish her well in her new role and we will all miss her very much.

End of an era

Thursday was the last managers meeting for Karen Wilkinson as she is leaving this week to start a new job.
Andrew Dykes, chairman arranged a lovely meal after the meeting for the management team which was enjoyed by all.
Although we will sad to see Karen go we wish her every success in her new position and know that she will be an asset to her new company.
